English Khutbah Idul Fitr

 Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, all praise be to Allah SWT who has given us the opportunity to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, this blessed day is not just a celebration of the end of our fasting, but it is also a time for us to reflect on the lessons we have learned during Ramadan and the changes we can make in our lives moving forward.

During the month of Ramadan, we were given the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah SWT through fasting, praying, and increasing our acts of worship. We were also given the chance to improve our character, to control our desires, and to become more empathetic towards those in need.

As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, let us not forget the less fortunate and needy in our society. It is our duty as Muslims to help and support them in any way we can. We should also strive to continue our good habits and acts of worship beyond Ramadan, and make them a part of our daily routine.

Finally, let us remember that Eid al-Fitr is not just about festivities and joy, but it is also a time for forgiveness and reconciliation. Let us use this opportunity to mend broken relationships, to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT and from those whom we may have wronged.

May Allah SWT accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds during Ramadan, and grant us His mercy, forgiveness, and guidance throughout the year. Ameen.

Eid Mubarak! Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, may Allah accept from us and from you.

Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
